From thomas — about

Hi, I’m Thomas, a designer crafting products at Wander. Previously, I co-founded Tatem.

Today

These days, I spend most of my time designing booking software for Wander. The products I work on help power more than 10,000+ vacation rental properties around the world. I spend most of my days thinking about how people discover new places, plan trips, and book with confidence - trying to make each step feel a little simpler than the last.

Somewhere along the way

Before building booking experiences, I built the design system behind them. It became the shared language for Wander's product organization, quietly powering millions of dollars in short term rental transactions while making hundreds of tiny design decisions feel like one.

The tiny things

I have an unhealthy appreciation for details.

A progress bar that feels a little calmer. A color algorithm that helps someone build a beautiful website without hiring a designer. A button that's two pixels taller because it somehow feels more human.

Before Wander

Before all of this, there was Tatem.

It started with a simple belief: work software didn't have to feel like work. I co-founded the company and led everything from product design and branding to the website and launch experience, shaping every touchpoint along the way.

In 2025, Tatem was acquired by Wander. The company changed, but the work stayed familiar - designing products that feel thoughtful, human, and intuitive.

Outside of work

I enjoy imagining new possibilities, solving complex problems, and building experiences that feel intuitive, thoughtful, and human. Today, that curiosity takes me across travel, architecture, healthcare, and software.

I believe words are another design material. A well-written sentence can guide someone just as much as a well-crafted interface.

Still learning

I am always interested in meeting people who care deeply about what they build.

If you'd like to talk about design, startups, travel, or the occasional idea that probably shouldn't become a company, I'd love to hear from you.
